Location: Mansfield, LADuration: 5+ years (Start: Immediate Need)Type: 1099 Contractor Position Details Hourly Rate: $46.50/hr Per Diem: $125/Day on seven days Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 hrs/week Project Scope The safety manager will be responsible for safety and compliance oversight of all Abatement of asbestos and Demolition of a power plant Qualifications OSHA 30 5 years of construction safety experience Abatement (asbestos) / Demolition Experience Key Responsibilities Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments Support incident investigations, reporting, and corrective action implementation Deliver safety training and orientation for employees, subcontractors, and new hires Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate risks Maintain accurate safety performance, incident, and compliance documentation Promote a safety-first culture across all project levels Skills & Knowledge Skills: Strong public speaking and communication abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively Professionalism and discretion with sensitive information Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and enforce compliance Equal Opportunity Employer Sheakley is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, marital status, national origin, disability, or any other protected status.
