Safety Coordinator - Danville, VA

Safety Coordinator Location: Danville, VADuration: 6 Weeks (Start: 3/9)Type: 1099 Contractor Job Details Hourly Rate: $56/HR (Local) $50/hr (Non-Local) Per Diem: $125/day (7 days per week) if over 50 miles from project location Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay: Weekly Schedule: 40 hours; M-F. Possible OT, working 1 Saturday a month Project Scope The construction safety coordinator will oversee safety for erosion repair under solar arrays. We have two openings - one supporting the Danville, VA project. Qualifications Candidates must have the following requirements: OSHA 500/510 current 5+ years of experience as a construction safety manager 1-3 years of solar construction experince Key Responsibilities Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations Provide safety training as needed Basic safety - toolbox, observe & report, inspections, JHA's. Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required Skills & Knowledge Skills: Excellent public speaking and communication abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team OSHA outreach training experience (preferred) Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information Knowledge: Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations Equal Opportunity Employer Sheakley is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, marital status, national origin, disability, or any other protected status.
