Working with the plant team to ensure that daily tasks and responsibilities, departmental goals are met to ensure quality of work. The quality technician monitors processes so that operations can run smoothly, safely efficiently, cleanly, humanely and, within compliance as well as contributing to team efforts. Keeping a customer’s first mindset to ensure that products produced meet a high standard and the job is completed right the first time. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct Critical Control Point (CCP) inspections in Harvest and Fabrication areasMonitor sanitizer concentrations and perform pre-operational inspections within all production areas of the facilityComplete sanitation and microbiology swab program monitoringPerform animal welfare and temperature monitoring activitiesIdentify and document deficiencies within HACCP, Sanitation, and Food Defense programsAssist with end-of-day document, product, and packaging reviewsParticipate in non-conforming product review and dispositionSupport CAPA investigations and corrective actionsPerform product and process audits and accurately document resultsAssist with maintaining SOPs, work instructions, and quality documentationEnter and review quality related data with accuracy and attention to detailSupport continuous improvement initiatives by supporting other duties as assigned. Education:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperience:Previous knowledge in quality assurance, SQF, GMP, SOP, HACCP preferred but not required. Experience in a manufacturing and/or Harvesting environment, with a strong preference towards food manufacturing/processing.Certifications:HACCP Certification, preferredPQA/TQA Certification, preferredSkills:Strong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)Experience in SoftExpert, preferredAbility to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are key concepts.
