The Market Access Account Manager, in partnership with the Director of Market Access, is responsible for developing and executing payer-specific contracting strategies across U.S. health plans and payer organizations. This role focuses on establishing, negotiating, and maintaining in-network contracts and agreements with commercial payers, IDNs, government entities, VA systems, ACOs, and other payer-aligned organizations.
A strong understanding of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) benefit structures, medical device reimbursement pathways, and payer contracting models is essential. Experience with Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and/or Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) is preferred but not required.
This is a highly visible, results-driven role that requires sound judgment, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to operate effectively across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute payer-specific contracting strategies in collaboration with the Director of Market Access
- Negotiate and manage provider contracts and payer agreements, with emphasis on in-network participation
- Utilize standardized contract templates and Pay-for-Performance strategies
- Lead contract onboarding in accordance with established company guidelines
- Support annual price increase initiatives through re-contracting efforts
- Partner with the Market Access Payer Relations Specialist to oversee maintenance, reporting, and governance of assigned payer contracts
- Establish and maintain reporting matrices to track compliance, performance, and network adequacy
- Collaborate with Legal and Corporate Network Management to modify contract language as needed to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance
- Ensure compliance with provider panel, network capacity, and network adequacy requirements
- Produce and monitor weekly and monthly reports related to contract compliance and network performance
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize financial exposure and risk
- Monitor outcomes and adjust strategies to achieve business objectives
- Provide support to the field sales organization as needed
