Job SummaryThe Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring workplace safety by working with the Director of HR and Safety, and developing and implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Success Criteria & MeasurementUnderstand all aspects of safety in manufacturingMaintain all safety data in an organized mannerDeliver all required annual training courses in a timely manner to employees, in house and out in the fieldMust have knowledge of OSHA requirementsWilling to travel out of stateResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace.Determine a calendar year for scheduled training and conduct training sessions for employees.Help enforce policies to establish a culture of safety.Interact with management, employees, and customers out in the field in a professional and positive mannerMonitor compliance with safety regulations through inspections. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend solutions.Ensure a safe working environment for ISI employees and customers Requirements and Qualifications3-5 years of experience in a Safety roleStrong Knowledge of manufacturing safety experienceCertified in OSHA 30 requiredFirst Aid/CPR CertifiedDegree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related field preferred.Possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.Must have experience in Fall Protection, Steel Erection, Fire Safety
