POSITION: Bilingual Safety Coordinator (English/Spanish)LOCATION: Bellevue, NEPAY RANGE: Based on experience ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Monitor and enforce safety procedures and regulations to maintain a secure work environmentEnsure the company complies with all environmental laws and regulationsDevelop, implement, and maintain programs to identify and correct unsafe work conditions Provide oversight of programs through personal on-site inspectionsConduct regular safety training sessions for new hires, employees, and subcontractors onsiteIdentify specific training needs and develop tailored programs to address those needsInvestigate incidents thoroughly, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plansCoordinate safety training and educate employees on best practicesMaintain all employee training documentationOrganize a forum for active employee participation in all areas of safety Administer appropriate first aid to employeesContribute to the team effort by working closely with management and employeesMaintain safety and first aid supplies, equipment, and softwareSecure confidential and intellectual informationPerform all occupational safety and hazard procedures in conjunction with all essential dutiesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of:Environmental regulations and complianceOSHA standards, requirements, and reportingCompliance with, and enforcement of, applicable Federal and State Regulations and Laws, including recordkeepingThe manufacture of precast/prestressed concrete Operational procedures as related to SafetyOccupational hazards and proper safety precautions Skills in:Employee relationsLeadership and organizationMicrosoft Word and ExcelOral and written communication (English and Spanish)Time management and prioritizationWORK ENVIRONMENT: Employee may be exposed to: Moving mechanical/electrical parts and equipmentFumes or airborne particles VibrationMetal preservativesOils and greasesLoud noiseHeat/cold/wet conditionsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS5 years of safety experience in the General and/or Construction industryMust have extensive knowledge of OSHA safety processes and guidelines and Worker’s Compensation regulationsMust have successfully completed OSHA General Industry 30 hr. training courseMust be CPR and First Aid certified (Trainer certification is a plus)Ability to identify known/potential exposures and recommend corrective actionsAbility to work collaboratively across teams and departmentsStrong organizational and critical thinking skills with attention to detailStrong work ethic with a professional, positive attitudeBENEFITSHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfit sharingTuition reimbursement EOE – Equal Opportunity Employer
