Full-time Description   GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Ensure conformance of products and processes to meet established standards. Drives quality culture throughout the organization in accordance with the Quality Operating System.ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These are duties that the person holding this job MUST be able to perform. The company makes accommodations on request, if the accommodations are reasonable, and allow otherwise qualified applicants to perform these functions.Safety & Compliance:Identify and report safety hazards in accordance with OSHA regulationsUnderstand and comply with MSDS/SDS requirements for hazardous materialsRecognize and report sharp parts, burrs, and broken components that pose safety risksApply proper lifting techniques and ergonomics principlesPart Inspection - Visual & Cosmetic:Identify and distinguish common defects including flash, short shot, splay, burns, sink, and warpingEvaluate parts using proper lighting conditions or light booths to ensure consistent inspectionApply visual quality criteria related to color, texture, gloss, and gate appearanceInspect samples per Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL) or visual standards established by customer requirementsDimensional Inspection:Use calipers, micrometers, and height gauges accurately to verify part dimensionsOperate pin gauges, thread gauges, and depth gauges for precision measurementPerform measurements against engineering prints and control plansUnderstand part tolerance ranges and escalation limitsDocumentation & Recordkeeping:Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation correctlyLog in-process inspections at required intervals throughout production runsAccurately complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and deviation formsMaintain traceability through lot, mold, and machine recordsCustomer-Specific Requirements:Understand and apply visual or dimensional standards specific to each customerFollow packaging and labeling instructions per job requirementsVerify special tests (pull, torque, impact, etc.) when required by customer specificationsCommunication & Teamwork:Communicate quality issues clearly to operators and supervisorsEscalate nonconformance according to Revere protocolCollaborate with production team to address quality concerns proactivelyPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Previous quality experience preferred.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/TASKS/ABILITIES:Ability to distinguish between product colors. Must pass Ishihara tests for color deficiencies with "Normal" results.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, engineering prints, and control plans.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence including NCRs and inspection documentation.Basic computer skills.Ability to confirm product characteristics with required measurement equipment including precision tools.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Must demonstrate positive communication skills on a regular basis.Willingness to continue training to upgrade skills, as required. Requirements   PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Able to use hands and fingers to seize, hold, grasp and turn objects/parts.Frequently required to stand for extended periods (8–12 hours), walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.Occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Work frequently in close proximity to machinery, noise levels are moderate.Close vision (distance of 20 inches or less) and able to identify/distinguish colors.Temperature in facility can vary up to 90 degrees. Candidates must be able to perform duties in hot and cold environments.
