Responsibilities The Quality Technician is the primary quality assurance floor contactEnsure quality procedures are being followed and product (compound, component and tire) conformance and quality standards meets customer expectationsEliminate waste in all 3 factory areas – mixing, components and finishingDiagnose and analyze root cause of waste (scrap, Ahvalli, wasted time etc.) in all 3 factory areasCompile necessary reports for the immediate supervisor and factory personnelCompile “One Point Lessons” along with quality engineers for operators to learn fromMaintain all necessary records in the working documentation/enter data in computer-aided production control systems in accordance with the Company’s internal proceduresAll other duties as requiredSkillsAbility to perform root cause analysis and apply statistics to problem solvingStrong problem solving skills required using established methodologies including 8-D, 5-WHY, Ishikawa, etc.Knowledge of technological processes and production modesKnowledge of main process and design data of the manufactured productsKnowledge of quality standardsAbility to identify production defects and develop methods to prevent defectsTime management and organization skillsAttention to detailStrong computer skills including basic knowledge of computer-based manufacturing applicationsProficient with MS-Office application suiteProven technical skillsStrong communication skills (both written and oral)Ability to work in a team environmentAbility to work independently and under pressureCommitment to excellence, high standards and ethical business conduct; continuous improvement mindsetRequirements High School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree in technical field preferred, equivalent experience substitute2 years minimum working experience in related fieldExperience with Lean Principles preferredExperience with Oracle preferredMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.
