This role offers the opportunity to influence project outcomes, strengthen client relationships, and develop the next generation of quality professionals.Purpose of the roleYou will be responsible for administering and continuously improving the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program to ensure full compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and client requirements. At the same time, you will lead, coach, and develop Quality Control personnel, embedding a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement across projects and operational teams.Core ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:Leading the implementation and governance of project and corporate quality programs, ensuring alignment with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry standardsReviewing and approving procedures, inspection plans, and quality documentation to ensure technical accuracy and complianceActing as the primary liaison with clients on all quality-related matters, including audits, reporting, issue resolution, and performance reviewsManaging and developing Quality Control teams, including workforce planning, onboarding, performance management, and capability developmentDriving continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps, analyzing trends, and implementing corrective and preventive actionsOverseeing nonconformance management, including root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and verification of effectivenessConducting and supporting internal and external audits, ensuring findings are addressed systematically and sustainablyCollaborating with engineering, construction, and production teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout project executionSupporting the development and execution of inspection and test plans, including field inspections, fabrication surveillance, and special process verificationEnsuring quality documentation is complete, accurate, and properly handed over at project closeout in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirementsProviding technical guidance on welding, NDE processes (RT, UT, MT, PT), and electrical/instrumentation testing proceduresPromoting knowledge sharing, best practices, and a culture of continuous learning across the quality function#LI-JS4 What you’ll bring to the roleYou will bring a balance of technical expertise, leadership capability, and pragmatic problem-solving, with the ability to operate effectively in a high-demand, client-facing environment.Key qualifications and skillsets include:Strong foundation in quality management systems within oil & gas, EPC, or heavy industrial environments, with 8–10 years of relevant experienceCurrent Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification in accordance with AWS QC1, with practical application in field and fabrication environmentsDemonstrated experience leading or mentoring Quality Control teams, with a focus on performance, development, and accountabilityWorking knowledge of non-destructive examination methods (RT, UT, MT, PT) and their application in construction and fabrication quality assuranceFamiliarity with electrical and instrumentation testing procedures and inspection requirementsProven ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes, and translate them into practical quality execution plansStrong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and negotiate effectively with clients and project partnersExperience managing nonconformances and leading structured root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiativesProficiency with Microsoft Office tools and data-driven decision-making using spreadsheets and reporting systemsAdaptability and resilience, with the ability to manage competing priorities in remote and high-pressure project environmentsCommitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and compliance with company and regulatory standardsPreferred experience that will strengthen your impact:Experience supporting North Slope or other remote, rotational operationsAdditional certifications such as NACE CIP, API 510/570/653, IAEI, or State of Alaska licensesFamiliarity with Alaska-specific regulatory frameworks and inspection requirementsFeel the energy at Worley with access to a range of benefits including\: paid-time off, holiday pay (usually 8 per year in the US), and eligibility to participate in the medical, life, dental, and vision insurance plans, as well as 401K plan.If you are motivated by complex projects, value accountability and technical rigor, and want to play a meaningful role in delivering safe and high-quality outcomes, we encourage you to apply.
