Job Description Mechanical Contractor Safety ManagerSetting/Hours: 100% In-Office | First ShiftJoin trak group in partnering with a growing client in Cincinnati, Ohio, that’s expanding its Manufacturing team. Responsibilities:Develop and maintain comprehensive safety programs, manuals, and compliance documentation to support organizational standardsImplement and enforce safety procedures aligned with regulatory requirements including OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and ASMECustomize safety initiatives to address risks specific to mechanical construction environments, including lockout/tagout, hot work, trenching, confined spaces, and energized systemsJobsite Safety Oversight:Conduct routine job site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance and identify potential risksMonitor proper use of PPE, fall protection, and adherence to safe work practicesPerform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and support Pre-Task Safety Planning (PTSP) to proactively address workplace hazardsTraining, Coaching & Education:Lead safety orientations for new hires, subcontractors, and temporary workers to ensure a strong foundation in workplace safetyDeliver ongoing training programs covering key topics such as fall protection, hazard communication, respiratory safety, welding, and mechanical operationsCoordinate and track required certifications including OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, forklift operation, and aerial lift trainingIncident Management & Reporting:Investigate near-misses, incidents, and workplace injuries to identify underlying causesPrepare detailed reports, including root-cause analyses and corrective action plansCommunicate findings and lessons learned to promote awareness and prevent future occurrencesRegulatory Compliance:Maintain accurate safety and compliance documentation, including OSHA logs, SDS records, inspections, and training materialsPrepare for and coordinate regulatory inspections, working with OSHA, fire departments, and insurance representativesRisk Management & Safety Culture:Participate in pre-construction planning to identify potential hazards and safety risksProvide guidance to project teams on safe work methods, materials, and equipmentPromote a proactive safety culture, including the use of Stop Work Authority to prevent incidentsRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, with equivalent experience consideredProficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systemsKnowledge of mechanical construction equipment such as lifts, cranes, rigging, boilers, and pressurized systemsAbility to navigate active job sites, including climbing, confined spaces, and working in various outdoor conditionsIf you're ready to take the next step in your career and want to make an impact, partner with trak group to explore this opportunity.
