Primary FunctionUnder the direction of the EHS Supervisor, the EHS Specialist will help T1 Energy maintain EHS compliance and assist with other EHS duties. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise, develop, and mentor Shift EHS TechniciansDevelop, ensure, and enhance compliance for Environmental, Safety, and Health programs.Inspect, test, and evaluate workplace environments, programs, equipment, and practices to ensure that they follow regulatory requirements.Design and implement workplace programs and procedures that control or prevent chemical, physical, or other hazards to workers.Demonstrate use of safety equipment and ensure proper use by all employees.Investigate incidents to determine the root cause and prevention or elimination solutions.Prepare written reports on findings.Collaboratively maintain and improve plant wide Safety Training Plan.Collaborate with management to prepare for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certification.Contribute to site program and policy compliance audits and deliver outcomes to EHS management.Maintain site SWPPP, TCEQ PBR, and prepare routine environmental reports for appropriate agency submission.Collaboratively Manage EHS documents and compliance calendar task list.Requirements3-5 years of experience in a safety role.Supervisory experience of at least two or more direct reports.Minimum of an associate’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience.Experience writing EHS reports for regulatory agencies.Excellent communication skills with individuals of varied backgrounds.Ability to present in front of large groups.Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products and other EHS Electronic Management and reporting systems.Preferred QualificationsOSHA 30 and/or 511 CertificationBCSP certifications: OHST, CSP, ASP, GSPEnvironmental regulatory experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesUnderstand regulatory requirements (TCEQ, EPA, etc.)Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001 standards.Ability to create new policies and procedures.Typical Working ConditionsManufacturing environmentClimate controlled Employment Type & Schedule:Full-Time, exempt salaried.Shifts may include day, night, weekend, or rotating schedules, depending on operational needs.
