Full-time Description Position Summary:The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role plays a critical part in promoting a safe work environment within a galvanizing facility, minimizing risk, and supporting continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.  Key Responsibilities:Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with OSHA and all local safety regulations. Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments throughout the facility. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses; determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Monitor compliance with hazard communication, lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, hearing conservation plan, emergency action plan, fall protection, and PPE requirements.Environmental ManagementMaintain all site-specific Environmental Plans in accordance with the latest Federal, state, and city regulations- (Stormwater pollution prevention plan, Source reduction pollution prevention plan, Facility contingency preparedness plan, Hazardous waste determination plan, SPCC)Assist with reporting requirements (e.g., Tier II, TRI, Annual waste summary, P2.Promote waste reduction and sustainability initiatives. Follow and manage all record keeping requirements specified by the Air permit.Collect samples of active waste profiles for accurate profile analysis. Schedule all hazardous, class 1 non, and class 2 waste with transportation and TSDF.Keep and maintain all waste manifests married.Schedule processing tank pump-out to waste tank for preventive maintenanceCollect processing tank samples for 3rd party lab analysis including Sulfuric acid pickle tanks, Zinc ammonium chloride Flux tanks, and Sodium hydroxide Caustic tank.Collect daily samples for In-house lab titration testing for concentrations on acid percentage, Iron percentage, Baume, PH, and temperature. Purchase Bulk load shipments for chemical inventoryTraining & DevelopmentDevelop and deliver safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation. Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks. Ensure employees are trained in proper handling of chemicals and equipment used in galvanizing processes.Maintain Forklift and crane certifications up to date.Program AdministrationMaintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, incidents, and compliance documentation. Assist in developing and updating safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans. Track safety metrics and prepare reports for management. Operational SupportWork closely with production teams to identify hazards and implement safe work practices. Support safe operation of galvanizing equipment, including kettles, cranes, and acid tanks. Manage all recycling activities and programs that include the Zinc recovery unit (MZR), Flux recycling unit (BETA), Acid recycling Unit (PHOENIX)Manage the byproducts sold for recovery. Requirements Qualifications:Education & ExperienceAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred. 2–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (galvanizing, steel, or metal processing preferred). Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations. Skills & CompetenciesBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Strong knowledge of industrial safety practices and hazard recognition. Experience with chemical safety, including acids and heavy metals. Excellent communication and training skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  Certifications (Preferred)OSHA 30-Hour Certification First Aid/CPR Certification Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP)   Work EnvironmentIndustrial galvanizing facility with exposure to heat, chemicals, fumes, and heavy equipment. Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).   Physical RequirementsAbility to work in high-temperature environments near molten zinc kettles. Ability to climb ladders, access elevated work areas, and navigate production floors. Frequent walking, standing, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).   Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays
