Job Title:Safety SpecialistThe role will foster and support an inclusive and high-performance operation where team members and customers safety is at the forefront. This role assigns and oversees the work of team members, stepping in to provide hands-on help when needed to exceed customer expectations. The Safety Specialist mentors and develops the skills of leads, agents, and trainers for continuous growth and learning. By demonstrating open and honest two-way communication, the Safety Specialist ensures a successful operation at the station.Location: SeaTac International AirportJob Type: LeadershipShift Info: Our operational teams work around the clock 365 days per year. Shifts will vary based off specific roles, we work hard and play hard too. Our team members adapt to celebrating Holiday's or Events on different days to ensure a strong operational performance. Benefits (if applicable):Insurance Package - Medical, Dental & VisionPaid Time Off - Combined PTO Accrual401K with Company MatchCompany Paid Life InsuranceAdvancement Opportunities & Career PathwaysQuarterly BonusesDo you match this skillset?Ability to review aircraft damage and directs corrective action.Conducting Risk Assessments as directed to ensure that Risk Assessments are completed at the station levelCoordinating with stations to promote safety initiativesAssisting with station-level training requirements to ensure that all training requirements are satisfactorily met.Assist/Train/Coordinate as requested by the station Safety ManagerMaintain all break room bulletin boards in regards to safety updates.Ensuring that all incidents/ accidents are reported, investigated, and entered timelyAbility to review station employee injury trends and directs corrective actionMentor and coach team members in the operation, and explain why procedures and policies are in place to raise the knowledge and awareness level of team membersConduct observations and audits to ensure training effectiveness and complianceWe'd love if you have some of these....1-3 years of airline experience with proven skills in station operations requiredDemonstrated skills in proactive and honest communication, providing direction and allowing team members to execute tasks, setting clear expectations, and holding others accountable requiredProven ability to provide specific and constructive feedback as well as positive recognitionAlways promote and maintain a culture of safetyThrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to meet and exceed operational targets while maintaining service, timeline, and compliance requirementsSelf-motivated, with proven ability to lead and direct the work of othersAbility to understand and interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information.QualificationsMust-haves to join our team:Obtain and maintain an airport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen, and fingerprinting is required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. or disclose their compensation or the compensation of other employees or applicants are also protected by law.A valid driver's license with a good driving record is always required. Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have a valid driver's license and one of the following documents in order to obtain a Port Badge and US Customs Security clearance.Original or certified copy of a birth certificateUnexpired US PassportPermanent Resident CardUnexpired US Territory Passport and I-94Airport SIDA Badge Requirements Important update for non-crew employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar: Employees will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing in order to keep their SIDA badge.
