You’ll work closely with laboratory and operations teams to support audits, corrective actions, data quality, and documentation processes in a regulated, high-throughput environment.What You’ll DoSupport and maintain the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 17025, NELAC/TNI, and internal standardsAssist with internal and external audits, including preparation, participation, and follow-up actionsInvestigate and track non-conformances and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Review laboratory data, reports, and client deliverables to ensure accuracy, traceability, and complianceMaintain and control quality documentation, including SOPs, method validations, and change recordsSupport proficiency testing (PT) programs and interlaboratory comparisonsMonitor instrument calibration, verification, and maintenance recordsAssist with statistical quality control (SQC), data trending, and continuous improvement initiativesTrack and maintain training records and competency documentationEnsure all systems, records, and documentation remain audit-readyCollaborate with lab staff to reinforce quality procedures, GLP, and regulatory compliancePerform other duties as assigned Requirements What We're Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree1+ year of professional experience in a laboratory quality assurance (QA) role OR 2 years of hands-on environmental laboratory experienceWorking knowledge of ISO 17025, NELAC/TNI, or similar regulatory frameworksProficiency with Laboratory Quality Management Systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience supporting or managing quality documentation, audits, and CAPA processes strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to maintain and improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) in an accredited laboratory setting strongly preferredStrong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies, ensure data integrity, and support compliance initiativesWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly payMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchEmployer-paid life, AD&D, and disability insurancePaid time off, sick leave, and paid holidaysPaid parental leaveEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Tuition reimbursement and professional development supportSchedule & Work EnvironmentFull-time, onsite position following a standard Monday through Friday scheduleAbility to work outside of scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed during audits or to meet certain reporting deadlinesOur Commitment to Diversity and InclusionAt SPL, we believe that a diverse team is a strong team.
