A Day in the Life  The QA Manager develops and implements the facility’s Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance with accreditation standard requirements and gaining and retaining accreditations. This position serves as Quality Manager and is the focal point for QA/QC. This position functions independently from technical operations, having responsibility for quality assurance oversight independent of production and financial responsibility.  The compensation range for this role is $75,000.00 to $90,000.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:  Leading the laboratory’s QA/QC and data quality improvement activities Ensuring that laboratory accreditations are maintained and expanded as needed Scheduling, ordering, evaluating, and reporting Proficiency Testing samples, and leading development of effective corrective actions for any failures Ensuring SOP’s are well written, organized, reflect laboratory practices and compliant with accreditation standards Ensuring that personnel training (e.g., demonstrations of capability) is documented and associated records are retained Developing and providing QA/QC activities training for laboratory staff Ensuring nonconformances are documented, corrected and monitored and that corresponding records are retained Implementing and improving the QMS  Documenting validation of new test & measurement services Performing and documenting internal audits and data assessments Hosting and leading external audits by accreditation bodies and clients; responding to any observed deficiencies Proactively ensuring compliance to ethics program  Managing QA Associates Complying with our Health and Safety Plan Other duties as assigned Your Expertise and Skills  These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills, and abilities that help you do your best work here. Bachelors’ degree in chemical, environmental, biological or physical science is preferred; Associates’ degree in science  is . Meet the minimum qualifications of the facility’s accrediting bodies for the Quality Manager role, as applicable4+ years of laboratory testing experience   Working knowledge of industry regulations, TNI, 40CFR, DoD/DOE QSM, ISO/IEC 17025 or other regulated environments Personnel supervisor experience  Onterris is a leading global environmental solutions company partnering with organizations to solve complex challenges where environmental pressures, regulatory expectations and operational risks intersect.
