As a Quality Inspection Supervisor, you will fall under the purview of the Quality Assurance Department and report directly to the Director of Quality Assurance. This role has 10+ direct reports. This role is multifunctional and multifaceted and, although a position within the Quality Assurance Department, it requires working with the Operations, Engineering, and Crystal Manufacturing Departments on a near daily basis, as well as many other teams. Externally, you will interface with suppliers and customers to serve the needs of aerospace business.
- Administer Internal Corrective and Preventative Action Requests (CAR/PAR)
- Assist in Responding to Our Customer’s Supplier Corrective and Preventative Actions Requests to Include Failure Analysis Reports, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
- Perform Internal Audits as part of QMS
- Assist the Quality Manager with Tasks and Projects
- Assist in Company-wide Audits by External Certifying Agencies and Customers, such as Our Annual AS9100 Audit
- Assist Director of Quality Assurance to Prepare Company-wide Metrics for Management Review Process
- Write New, Update Existing, and Train Employees on Standard Operating Procedures and Forms
- Write New and Update Existing Procurement General and Detail Specification Control Drawings (SCDs) for Components Utilized in the Production of Company Products
- Perform Failure Analysis on RMA and in-house failures with engineering as needed.
- Coordinate outside test lab analysis as needed
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience in a Quality Role with 1+ years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM field and + years working experience or 5+ years of commensurate experience.
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 environment
- Proficient utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Understanding of crystal oscillators or similar microelectronics (MIL-PRF-55310, MIL-STD-883)
- Strong familiarity with hybrid and/or PCB construction methods (MIL-PRF-38534 or IPC-A-610)
