Full-time Description We are seeking an energetic, employee-focused Plant Human Resources & Safety Manager who is passionate about being present on the plant floor, listening to employees, coaching leaders, and driving a positive, high-performance culture. This role is a key partner to plant leadership and serves as the primary HR & Safety presence for the site. The ideal candidate is not desk-bound, this individual spends time where the work happens, connecting with employees, understanding operations, and serving as a trusted advisor to both hourly and our salaried teams. The Plant HR & Safety Manager will oversee the full employee lifecycle while ensuring safety compliance, and alignment with INA’s values and strategic goals. Requirements Safety Leadership & Compliance:Champion a safety-first culture by modeling safe behaviors and ensuring all employees adhere to established safety policies and procedures.Partner with plant leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and reduce workplace incidents.Support and participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards, including training, reporting, and documentation requirements.Promote employee engagement in safety programs, including safety committees, audits, and ongoing awareness initiatives.Employee Engagement & Culture: Maintain a strong, visible presence on the production floor, building relationships and trust with employees. Serve as a coach and mentor to employees and managers, fostering accountability, development, and engagement. Represent INA during new employee onboarding and ensure a welcoming, connected onboarding experience. Partner with plant leadership to reinforce company values and support a positive workplace culture.Talent & Performance Management: Collaborate with the Corporate HR Director and site leadership to recruit, select, and onboard talent. Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning. Deliver leadership and employee training focused on performance, safety, and professional growth. Provide guidance on workforce planning and succession planning.Employee Relations & Compliance: Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, discipline, and terminations. Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations; partner with legal counsel as needed. Manage employee leave programs, including FMLA, short term disability, and long-term disability. Implement and uphold HR policies, procedures, and best practices consistently and fairly.HR Operations & Systems: Maximize the effective use of the Human Capital Management system (Paylocity). Partner with Finance on weekly and biweekly payroll processing. Monitor and support training programs and workforce analytics to inform decision making. Participate on cross functional teams to improve plant processes and operational effectiveness.Community & Collaboration: Support site leadership with community relations and employee focused initiatives, as needed. Provide HR guidance during management meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.Special Working Conditions: Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing plant environment, with significant time spent on the production floor. Schedule may require flexibility outside of standard business hours to support operations and employees.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field required. Minimum of 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, including employee relations. Manufacturing environment experience required. SHRM CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence leaders, and engage employees in a plant setting.
