Who We Are:Venus Aerospace is revolutionizing rocket engine propulsion. With the first generational leap in rocket engine technology since Apollo, our proprietary Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine and Venus Detonation Ramjets deliver historic efficiency and performance across aerospace applications. We are building the next generation of propulsion platforms that enable breakthrough capabilities in space, defense, and commercial high-speed flight. Our team thrives on solving the toughest engineering challenges and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in aerospace. At Venus, we’re looking for bold engineers and innovators who want to make history and redefine the future of propulsion. The Role: Facility Operations and EHS CoordinatorWe are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Facility Engineer to oversee the reliability, efficiency, safety and EHS programs in support of production goals and building operations. The ideal candidate will blend engineering rigor with hands-on maintenance support, ensuring our facilities operate at peak performance while meeting budget, compliance, and sustainability goals. What You'll Get To Do Engineering & Reliability: Analyze, and optimize building systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, controls, and utilities) where applicable to improve energy efficiency, uptime, and occupant comfort. Develop and manage predictive maintenance strategies; review equipment runtimes, failure modes, and repair histories to drive reliability improvements. Perform root-cause analysis for system outages and lead corrective action. implementation. Project Planning & Execution: Scope, budget, and manage small-to-medium capital projects related to facility improvements, equipment upgrades, and space changes. Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, create design concepts, obtain approvals, and oversee contractor work on-site. Ensure projects comply with codes, standards, and safety regulations; coordinate commissioning and handover. Operations & Maintenance Support: Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams; assist with complex diagnostics, commissioning, and startup of new equipment. Review and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), PM schedules, and load calculations for facilities systems. Support energy management initiatives, and additional utility related opportunities for efficiency. Quality, Safety & Compliance: Co-coordinate with Facilities to champion, implement and maintain EHS culture. Maintain EHS compliance programs. Ensures we are compliant with relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Build, update, and coordinate emergency response plans with state and local emergency planning committees. Evaluate operations for continuous process improvement and implementation of preventive action measures. Develop and support hazardous waste program and implementation. Support environmental permitting initiatives for our growing operations. Build safety knowledge: Provide training on safety programs, Instruct new employees on our safety program. Partner with employees, and external stakeholders to implement EH&S programs. Coach and mentor employees at the site in safe work practices. Provide contractor EH&S oversight. Keep a culture of safety: Tracking reported incidents, injuries, near misses, and hazards. Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions. Conduct regular internal inspections and audits and provide recommendations for improvement. Track program progress, efficacy, and develop solutions to EH&S challenges. Be an advisor: Provide EH&S technical expertise on manufacturing, test, and operations systems, process design and operating procedures. Provide EHS subject matter expertise to engineering, production, and test resources. Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Manage relationships with engineers, contractors, and vendors; review proposals, provide technical evaluation, and assist with procurement.
