 POSITION TITLE: ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, AND SAFETY SPECIALIST                                LOCATION: CINCINNATI, OHLuxfer Magtech specializes in developing, manufacturing, and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect, from infrared countermeasure flares that protect pilots from incoming missiles and chemical response kits designed to help safeguard life in chemical warfare attacks, to nutritious food and beverage options for militaries and first responders.We invite you to learn more about us at https://luxfermagtech.com/ and read on for a further description of the role.                PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure that all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) related activities are carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and to ensure that the facility complies with all EH&S regulatory requirements.  This position reports to the Director of Human Resources with a close partnership with the Director of Operations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Implement and lead the EH&S Program.Establish EH&S Annual Operating Plan, Goals and KPIs.Administers EH&S training programs - tracks/maintains records of all training logs.Provides and ensures training is completed for all employees, visitors, and contractors.Conduct risk analysis and implement corrective actions as warrantedResponsible for accident prevention through safety audits, implementing and managing safety committees/teams, monitoring metrics, and conducting safety toolbox talksMaintains EH&S related policies, procedures, documents, and records.Maintains current knowledge of OSHA, EPA & DOT regulationsAssists with regulatory reports/submittals and permitting for facility.Key liaison for regulatory inspections.Develop cross-functional partnerships to leverage internal resources.Manage EH&S and ESG scorecardsOther duties as assignedEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety or related field, strongly preferred.Formal safety certification preferred2+ years of experience in a similar role.Experience training EHS topics to a manufacturing workforceAbility to lead multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordinglyVery attention to detail orientedA positive attitude and a ‘roll up your sleeves’ mentality to get the job doneExcellent people skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organizationExcellent Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrated proficiency in MS officeBENEFITS:Medical, Vision, Dental *Start on the 1st day of the following month after being hired*401k with Company match of up to 6%!12 Company Paid HolidaysAdditional PTOLuxfer Group (NYSE: LXFR)We are committed to a safe, drug-free work environment and pre-employment drug screening, physical and background checks are required prior to starting.This position requires access to our export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, and services.
