How will you make a difference?The EHS Specialist for Grove City New Manufacturing will demonstrate leadership in communicating Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) goals, programs, and processes to the Grove City New Manufacturing plant. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for yourself and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. This position requires working on-site as an essential function. What do we want to know about you?Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of experience)A minimum of 2 years of experience in environment, health and safetyDemonstrated ability to lead a team of safety professionalsProven ability to utilize lean, 5s, and continuous improvement methodologiesAbility to adapt and flex in a dynamic UX environmentDemonstrated ability to drive accountability, improve culture, and influenceAbility to follow up & follow throughStrong track record of coaching & team engagement skillsKnowledge in US regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA and Pennsylvania requirements) What will your typical day look like?Ensure plant compliance with all recordkeeping and reporting requirements of the plant’s Title V air permit and small quantity generator of hazardous waste statusEnsure compliance with recordkeeping, reporting, and sampling requirements in accordance with storm waterMaintain compliance with SPCC/ PPCMaintain compliance with residual and RCRA/ DOT waste regulationsParticipate in Incident InvestigationsSupport the safety initiativesSupport Ergonomics projects and drive to completionSupport Emergency Response TeamCommunicate effectively with management and hourlyConduct annual trainingsLead various on-site safety teamsHelp facilitate the site’s Concern Reporting and other additional programs.Additional responsibilities as assigned What about the physical demands of the job?Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE.Walking, climbing, stooping, bending, lifting is all part of the hands-on learning process.
