With more than 34,000 employees, the company generated sales of CHF 11.76 billion in 2024. Job DescriptionBroad Function and Purpose of Position:Develop, organize, administer, and maintain the Company’s Environmental Health & Safety Programs. Lead regulatory efforts, environmental compliance, process safety and sustainability and help drive the culture toward interdependence.  Foster the well-being of its employees and customers, and the community. The primary support for this facility is for our Brighton, CO site with additional support to a facility in Denver.Specific Responsibilities:Environmental, Health & Safety Program management:Lead site in areas of Environmental, Health & Safety, Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene and Emergency Response.Coach leadership team on safe behaviors, conditions, and approaches for improved safety cultureLead and manage all aspects of EHS trainingLead site for key Risk Assessments such as HIRA, JHA/JSA, and Safe Work Permitting Participate in Gemba / Safety walks focusing on behaviors and conditionsEnsure proper utilization of company EHS systems such as Sphera, HSI SDS Program, and GensuiteSupport site engineering for compliance with company Process Safety efforts and EPA RMPLead and manage incident/accident investigation processes for near misses and all injuriesFacilitate New Hire EHS Orientation for temporary and full-time employeesParticipate in the site Behavior Based Safety programLead assist in Root Cause Analysis for incidents / near missesIntegrate all Corporate and Regional Environmental, Health & Safety programs into daily operationsParticipate and assist in managing Management of Change (MOC) processLead site Emergency Response TeamSubmit State and Federal EH&S reports (TRI, Tier II, etc.)Assist sites to implement Corporate EHS Standards and ProceduresAssist Human Resources regarding workers compensation case details from injury reports and follow-up analysis needed once employee returns to workSupport small Ad-Mixture site of approximately 5 personnel in the Denver areaQualificationsQualifications/Experience:Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health science, or similar degree.5-10 years professional experience in occupational safety, environmental, or similar role(s)Chemical or similar manufacturing backgrounds preferredCSP or CIH and/or MS preferredStrong verbal, written, analytical and influence skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.Knowledge of the following areas: EPA (Environmental) OSHA (Occupational Safety), and similar regulations and reporting. Experience developing safety culture (E.g., Bradley Curve)Self-motivated, self-starterAdditional InformationPerks & Benefits401k with Generous Company Match BonusesMedical, Dental, and Vision BenefitsPaid Parental LeaveLife InsuranceDisability InsurancePaid time off, Paid holidaysFloating holidays + Paid Volunteer TimeWellness/Fitness ReimbursementsEducation AssistanceProfessional Development OpportunitiesEmployee Referral Program & More!Sika fosters a culture of entrepreneurship, empowering each individual to make decisions, learn from experiences, and shape their own career path.
