In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing the company’s quality strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This role drives excellence across product quality, manufacturing processes, and customer satisfaction. Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), lead continuous improvement initiatives, and partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and suppliers to ensure products consistently meet or exceed internal and industry standards. This leader will also foster a culture of quality and accountability across the organization. Responsibilities Quality Leadership & StrategyLead, mentor, and develop the quality team to achieve high performance and accountabilityPromote a company-wide culture of quality and continuous improvementAlign quality initiatives with strategic business goalsQuality Management System (QMS)Implement, maintain, and improve the QMS in compliance with standards such as ISO 9001Track and report key quality metrics to drive performance improvementsLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Compliance & AuditsEnsure compliance with regulatory and industry standardsLead internal and external audits and ensure audit readinessAddress non-conformances and drive sustainable corrective actionsProduct Quality & Continuous ImprovementOversee quality control processes to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirementsPartner with engineering and operations to improve product and process qualityLead resolution of customer complaints and quality issuesProcess OptimizationDrive initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six SigmaReduce process variability and eliminate defectsLeverage data analytics to identify trends and prevent recurring issuesSupplier Quality ManagementEvaluate and monitor supplier quality performanceCollaborate with suppliers to ensure alignment with quality expectationsLead supplier audits and improvement initiativesTeam Development & Cross-Functional CollaborationCoach and develop team members, building a high-performing organizationWork closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and commercial teamsSupport New Product Development (NPD), including PPAP and first article approvals Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field (Master’s preferred)8–10 years of quality experience in manufacturing, including 5+ years in leadershipCertifications such as CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or ISO Lead Auditor preferredStrong knowledge of QMS, quality tools, and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience with PPAP, first article inspection, supplier audits, and process validationFamiliarity with industry standards (e.g., CSA, NSF, ASME)Proven ability to lead structured problem-solving initiativesStrong analytical, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel domestically and internationallyIn 1939, Paul Symmons advanced the plumbing industry by inventing the first anti-scald, pressure-balancing valve. 87 years later his legacy lives on through the Temptrol® valve, which is still made right here in the USA.
