Full-time Description  Michigan Surgical – Full-Time RN Position (ASC Infection Control & Quality Specialist)Schedule:Monday through Friday40–42 hours per weekStart time: 6:00 AM – 7:00 AMEnd time: 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM8.5-hour workdaysMichigan Surgical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team in a full-time role focused on Infection Control and Quality.Qualifications:Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan requiredMinimum 3–5 years of experience in an outpatient or ambulatory surgery center settingStrong background in Infection Control and Quality initiatives requiredTeam-oriented with strong leadership skillsHighly detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environmentPosition Overview:This role supports the development, implementation, and oversight of infection prevention and quality improvement programs within the ASC. The ASC Infection Control and Quality Specialist, RN functions as an integral partner to assist in maintaining the policies and procedures. Requirements ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Development and implementation of evidence-based interventions designed to reduce and eliminate the risk for Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) and/or disease transmission.Develops and conducts the ASCs Infection Control/Prevention Program Planning addressing risks for the acquisition and transmission of infectious agents and establishing priorities/setting goals and strategies accordingly including but not limited to auditing and data collection.Completes Infection Control needs assessment, development, presentations, and evaluation of educational sessions relating to topics including infection prevention & control, emerging infectious diseases, new initiatives, and regulatory affairs.Assist with Quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.Assist with providing and monitoring in-services on new equipment/procedures to staff.To provide assistance and maintain knowledge in Infection Control, Quality and risk assessment.Performs other position related duties as assigned.Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
